It took them 11 work days to process and ship the order. Wow, two weeks later the order ships; I?d rather spend a bit more money on cards and get them within a couple days or a week tops. Big Fireball has been decent in the past, but waiting over two weeks for an order doesn?t cut it. I won?t be doing any more business with them. |

My order was okay, but this opens a potential for easy damage. 2) More importantly, I placed this order (A pre-order for M10 cards) a few days before release of the set on the 17th. When I did not receive the cards on the following Friday (7/24), I sent an e-mail asking about the order. The next day, I received a PayPal shipping notification dated 7/24, and no explanation for the delay. Further e-mails to inquire went totally ignored. BF has always done a great job in the past, but this terrible communication might be a deal-breaker for future orders. |

This was my final comment for BigFireball prior to having to initiate a PayPal Claim: Still no response? I have to be honest-- I wasn't surprised this time. Here's some advice for you, common sense to most but apparently not all, on how to create repeat business: 1) Set realistic shipping and delivery time frames based on the quality of service you actually provide. If you're not going to put an order together until a week or two after it's been placed, perhaps you should tack that onto the "3-5 business day shipping" time frame you quote. People don't know to expect a 2 week delay in the package being put together and shipped in the first place. 2) Respond to your customer's inquiries. So, you quote 3-5 business day shipping. After 10 days and no package, I rightfully inquired as to the whereabouts of my package. Two more days had passed, and still no response was received. At this point, I sent a follow-up email that was not responded to after another 3 days had passed. Then the PayPal dispute was initiated. Two days later, I finally got a response with a half-hearted apology, a lame excuse, and a claim of interest in making the situation right. I then made my suggestions on how to do so, and here I am now, 5 days later, STILL waiting. After all of my attempts, I've only received the one response from you. Your communication skills require immediate attention. 3) Don't send a notice of shipment until the package is actually in transit. You sent me an email just hours after my order was placed that very plainly stated "A package was shipped to you on 02/03/2009 via U.S. Postal Service First-Class to the following address". Then, in your first only response to any of this, you admitted that my order was STILL in your possession and was being delayed due to YOUR inaccurate inventory records (Which is an excuse I've learned you use quite often in these situations according to the other feedback I've read concerning your business). You may want to refrain from lying to your customer's in email about the shipment of their packages; and keep in mind, your inability to remain organized is not a legitimate excuse to hang onto someone's money for over three weeks without ever delivering on the merchandise promised or attempting to contact them. Perhaps once you've realized that you don't have what the customer ordered, you should contact them immediately and ask how they'd like you to proceed. This might be more successful than waiting for them to contact you over and over again without responding, and then providing excuses once they've filed a complaint. Bottom line? When a person gives you money, they expect the goods purchased within the time frames promised. This is what is expected and is the way business should be done. It's no big secret. Hopefully, you put these suggestions to good use so that you don't go out of business. |

Either it was the length of time it took them to put the order together and ship it out, or it was just out good old overpriced postal service. But don't let that stop you from buying from these guy's. The prices have jumped a bit. They used to be "the best priced one stop shop" I have found, not so true right now, but the freeshipping makes up for it if your purchase stays under $75.00, after that their competiters start to win out. I hope they realize that soon and start dropping their price line down just a bit. If they do, you have just found MTG heaven. Don't be fearful of contacting them if they made a mistake either. They really want to do right by the costomer. This is a great place to get your cards. Packaging was superb, except for one detail. The cards were wrapped in plastic, put in a mail envelope and then put into a larger package. That's fine and all, but the cards were sent with a hard card-display-case plastic sleeve... and they weren't even put IN the damn thing, they were on TOP of it. Couldn't believe it. All cards present and accounted for, so that's a plus, I guess, but if there'd been a problem, again there'd never have been any way to contact them because despite what they tell you on here, they DO NOT answer email. They just don't. I have four in my sent folder I can show off. Overall I'm glad I got my purchase, but with this absolutely horrendous lack of any kind of customer service, I can't say I'd do it again. |

Secondly, I ordered 90 magic cards and... 19 of them were out of stock. if I knew this, then i wouldn't have confirmed the order because I NEEDED some of those 19 cards for my deck to work, but they didn't bother asking for a confirmation on whether I still wanted the cards or not. But, other then that, the cards seemed to be in pretty good condition and the cards were a good price. If that's the case, here's a solution: Try having the Rare, Uncommon, and Common headline to be BOLDED and font size BIGGER just so that the customer can quickly glance at what alphabet and location they are at while speed scrolling. Otherwise the viewer is forced to guess by looking at the scroll bar to the right to make their assumption. There was countless times where I had to scroll back up to carefully look at each first letter. Also, the biggest problem that I see is the centering of text. People(USA) read from left to right. By having it centered, you force ppl to read each first letter alphabetically zig zag which creates irritation to the eye and brain. Each individual card title should be flushed to the left so that the surfer can easily browse. The title can be centered but the individual card title should be all to the left. I wanted to know if they sell "Pack Fresh" cards or are they used cards that they rate as NM. They told me that the new or current cards are "Pack Fresh" and the older cards are bought from players. So I put an order in for 22 cards which totaled under $40.00 (all new/current cards, like Promise of Bunrei, Hunted Horror, Jugan the Rising Star, and others) Now I sent them a note with my order stating that I did not want any cards that were used with hairline scratches and dings...etc. I want "Pack Fresh cards" When my order arrived I found cards that had trade wear or binder wear (cards that are handled through trading, maybe some play in sleeves and binder wear from taking in and out of binders). About half or the cards had some visible wear, such as lose of shine, hair line scratches and surface wear. I have been collecting cards since 1993 and I have high standards when buying singles that I even plan on playing with. I did not get what I thought I would get,"Pack Fresh Near Mint Cards" instead I got cards that were bought from other players that had minor flaws that are rated NM from this company. The shipping price and service was very good and the cards was well protected. Their email service is very poor, they take very very long to get back to you and I never got an email stating that my order was sent until I ask for one. Overall I would say this company is good for the player that does not care too much if the cards have been used or purchased from other players, then passed on to you. The prices they offer are very good, compaired to other sites. Just keep in mind, you get what you pay for. Lower priced cards don't get you "Pack Fresh" cards. Would I ever order from them again? Most likely not, but if I needed a few cards and did not care about the NM condition or them and this site had the cards and no other site did, then yes I would place the order, just because I needed them...but I would never order a playset of higher valued cards such as four "Pithing Needles". I don't want someones elses traded cards, just to save money. |

This however, had little if any affect as still to this date, I have not had an email returned. In order for me to contact them, I had to track down their phone number which is listen under the name Super Stars of Sports and contact them directly. My purchase was also short 3 MindSlavers, which I emailed them about at Sale@Bigfireball.com come, 2 times so far and still have not heard back from them. The shipping for this purchase took about 3.5 weeks, with no notification whatsoever. I would not use this site again, despite their excellent prices. My time is too valuable and the sites that sell Magic The Gathering cards are too vast to deal with the unprofessionalism of this site. |

That's like cash in the bank and there shouldn't have been ANY waiting period before shipping. If you put something in the mail on November 25th, you shouldn't get it December 9th! First class shipping is 3-5 business days. Maybe even 7 days long during the holidays. It shouldn't take two weeks from purchase to doorstep. This was my first time ordering with bigfireball.com. I got so nervous about getting my cards at all after a week and a half that I opened a complaint with paypal. I've closed it satisfactorily and resolved the issue - extremely slow shipping. It could have been worse. I could have got shipping from Londes :) I'm still unhappy and I feel like I play Russian Roulet with my card purchases every time I order from findmagiccards.com. they are not a horrible vendor, but they have horrible buisiness ethics. the shipping for me was fast (not too common, judging by earlier comments). the cards that I did recieve were in great condition.
The 8 cards I did not recieve were still available on their site, but listed with higher prices. this has happened before (look about 4 posts down). This is a really crappy way to do buisiness.
Also, I emailed them a week ago and got no response, which means no refund for my cards. Like I said earlier, do not buy from this vendor. You may get lucky and get all of your cards on time and may even get an email from them, but by buying from them you are promoting an online buisiness that does not deserve to stay in buisiness.
of course, maybe really crappy service is the price you pay for really cheap cards.... From Big Fireball: I am sorry that you were unhappy with the service you received from us. I can assure you that we do not have "horrible business ethics". Also, over 99% of our orders are shipped out within 24 hours. We have had over 2000 orders (while listed on this site) and have had only 6 or 7 customers leave "unhappy" feedback. If we issued you a refund for cards that we did not have in stock at the time of your order, then we really did not have them in stock. If they still showed up on our website, that was just an inventory error. We are not going to tell you that we are out of stock and then raise the price just to make a few extra dollars. We would much rather make you happy and have you back as a repeat customer. We issue refunds before we ship out our orders, so most likely, your refund is/was sitting in your PayPal account when you accused us of not sending you your refund. We are not perfect, and the huge increase in orders has forced us to hire more employees in order to process everything in a timely fashion.
