| actoninstinct: | FMC provided me with a site for a pair of MTG Foil Exalted Angels. I was fortunate to have found SaC selling them at a good Ebay market rate at 'Buy It Now' level. Usually these are priced higher as it's an 'instant buy' (120%-150% of an auction price), for this reason I suppose it's then considered sub-market. It was a great buy, at the time of purchase, Ebay buy-it-now sellers were trying to sell it for circa USD$45, which was USD$12 more than what SaC were selling for. An auction actually went for a few dollars more near time of purchase, so in this regard, good value for money. Asked about other shipping options and was provided with a 'email received' notice that they would attend to my query shortly. Was responded to in around a day. They shipped my order before they responded to the mail which gives you an idea how fast the order is received and processed, perhaps less than a day? Paid USD$3 for shipping, 1 week to Singapore. From the stamp, USD$1 is for postage, USD$2 for admin processing from SaC. Considering some Ebay sellers charge USD$4-6 shipping for low-cost cards, SaC have done well not to alienate an Asian market with rediculous shipping costs. The shipping time from most of my Ebay vendors take around 11-14 days. This is my best valued cash vs time shipping yet. Very well done on that. Cards received in loose sleeve, taped into a toploader, in a bubble envelope. Condition is as was described, NM. I'm not pleased that I couldn't get more cards from them as it was so smooth and efficient. A perfect sale. I'm pleased with my angels. |

I wonder what would happen if someone went up to the Customer Service counter at Wal-Mart and starting screaming "FAG" at them......I can only guess security would be involved. I rec'd this response to my order on October 26. "Due to an error with the find magic cards system there was a mix up between Razia's Purification and Razia's angel.
If you still want the angel foil it is a 10.00 diffrence or I can refund part of your order or your full order or send out the foil Razia's Purification.
If you have any questions feel free to ask."
I replied that evening, "This is not the first time that I have ordered from your company and the system "had a glitch".
In fact, I believe it's the third time in a row that I've had this happen to an order from Shuffle and Cut. I place an order for a pretty good deal, only to have it yanked out from under me due to a "glitch".
First time, I would call it happenstance.
Second time is coincidence.
Third time starts to smell like foul play.
It is not my fault that somebody in your organization did not follow-up to verify correct prices on the listing, and I do not feel it is appropriate for you to simply state that I can pay the difference or get a partial or full refund and be done with it. What is your company able to offer me from my time and inconveinience?
The cards were ordered in a particular time frame in order to insure delivery by a certain date. Due to this oversight and delay, it appears that regardless of my decision, they will not arrive on time.
Please advise me on possible solutions you may have, to restore my "customer enthusiasm" in you as a vendor.

On October 31st, 5 days later, I was refunded my purchase price. Shuffle and Cut made no other contact to me in order to attempt in finding alternate solutions. Apparently errors that they do not catch/overlook are automatically exempt from "the cost of doing business", and they use the disclaimer at the bottom of their page regarding pricing errors to protect themselves and the profit margin.
Lack of follow-up communication is my primary complaint. Retracting the sale due to their inability to maintain things just iced the cake.
They talk about quality customer service, but talking about it and providing it are two different things.
(I did not call them because my emailed reply (that never was responded to) should have been sufficient.
Caveat emptor. (Buyer beware)
Will not recommend this vendor.

From Shuffle and Cut Cards: WHOA....*stops to read the whole thing*. Good grief - this isn't a comment, it's a novel. Anyway, lemme see how many flaws I can find with this one. #1 - This is the only record I ever have of this person EVER playing ANY kind of order with me. No second time, no third time....me thinks he's a little confused. #2 - The error was not on my end - it was on the programming of Find Magic Cards - a system I do not control. *MY* price was correct, and due to a typographical error on FMC's part, it switched the prices on Razia's Purification and Razia, Boros Archangel. Pretty big goof, right? Yeah, I thought so too.. :( Frankly, I don't know half of what this guy is talking about. We quickly contacted him and gave him options. We are generally regarded as having the industry's #1 customer service, but when someone is going out of their way to be a nuisance, and then they want me to restore their "customer enthusiasm", then well, I think I'd rather another dealer had this particular headache, er, customer. 99% of you out there are fantastic customers and we give you fantastic customer service. If you're unreasonable though, we don't like people trying to be bullies. :( |

From Shuffle and Cut Cards: User mailed in damaged cards, which hurt the value of them (obviously). When e-mailed about it, he wanted to add to his order, which is no problem. We told him to make a payment then e-mail us and let us know the payment was made. He never sent us back the e-mail as we requested, so we didn't know he paid until we got a rather harsh e-mail from him. At that point, he let us know he made the payment and we shipped the cards. He would have been happy if he had followed directions and sent in NM cards. |

I was a little surprised that you bunched all five in one sleeve. I have purchased the blue or clear protective sleeves and know they are very inexpensive so it may be something you can consider. I was advised to use insured mail but this is unaffordably expensive bearing in mind I had no problems with $4 uninsured postage from other stores. And from the order point of view, the unclear way in which postage is added is really annoying. So I think I'll buy elsewhere in future. From Shuffle and Cut Cards: I have no idea what this guy is talking about. He made a rather large card-wise order and we shipped it overseas for $8, which is a lot less than other dealers charge for the same order. We make it very clear that there is an insurance offer on every order. Every order placed gets shipped out, but things happen beyond our control. We always highly recommend insurance because it covers issues like this. I'm sorry you did not get your cards, but it's impossible for us to be responsible for the Postal Service and their employees - you know that. :) |

Free rare though, pretty good one. Didnt expect that. Oh well.. its about the cards not the packaging. From Shuffle and Cut Cards: The box we use is one of the standard boxes we use for shipping booster boxes. It hugs the box very tightly, allowing very little shifting during shipping. It has been our experience this is the most reliable way to avoid shipping damage. Sometimes the box may get a tiny bit "squished", but the cards inside are never harmed, which is obviously the most important thing. |

Unbeknownst to me (and unclear in their FAQ) they used a private deliviery service. After I checked the USPS, I called Shuffle And Cut to check to see if they had indeed used a private service and to get the service's name and the package's tracking number. I was a little concerned because they had not returned my phone call (it has been 1.5-2 hours), but the cards arrived and arrived in MUCH better condition than I had presumed. I am extremely pleased with the order. (A note to SaC: No need to call me back. Thanks!) From Shuffle and Cut Cards: Yes. We normally do not use USPS for Overnight services because their "Express" service is anything less than Express, sometimes taking 2-4 days. We have found going with a private delivery service that specializes in Overnight deliveries gives an approximate success ratio of about 99.5% of all packages being delivered overnight, and exactly *zero* ever being lost, both of which are figures the post office can't touch. In the end, though, the cards always get there, and in typical lightning-fast manor. Thanks again for your order - we look forward to more from you! |

Even finding one is a challenge. I charge $14 and some change for it, and you say I should LOWER my prices? Hmmmmm....I guess you can definately tell when the 12 year olds order from you. Crayon on the envelope should have been my first clue. Moral of the story - if you want cheap, don't buy something that's impossible to get. If you want fast, use a credit card.
